Commissions

One of my favorite parts of creating commissioned work is knowing a painting will become part of someone’s everyday life — quietly shaping the feeling of a room, holding memory and connection over time. Commissioning a piece of artwork is a collaborative and personal process. My work is abstract and interpretive in nature, which means commissions are guided by feeling, palette, and atmosphere rather than literal imagery. I welcome inspiration and direction while still allowing room for intuition and creative freedom throughout the process.

The Process

  1. Inquiry — Begin by filling out the commission inquiry form below. You’ll share details like preferred sizing, color palette, the space the painting is for, and the overall feeling or energy you’d like the piece to hold.

  2. Collaboration — Once I receive your inquiry form, I’ll be in touch within three business days to talk through details including sizing, pricing, timeline, and overall direction for the piece. Photos of your space, along with any paint colors, fabric swatches, or inspiration images, are always helpful during this stage.

If we decide to move forward together, I’ll send over a commission agreement along with an invoice for the 50% non-refundable deposit required to reserve your painting. The remaining balance is due once the painting is complete and approved prior to shipping or pickup.

  3. Creation — After the agreement and deposit are received, I’ll begin developing a custom color story and overall direction for your piece. Once those details are finalized, I’ll begin the painting process. Throughout the process, I may share progress photos when appropriate while still allowing the work to unfold organically. Unless we agree on something else, all commissions are painted on a 1.5” gallery wrapped canvas, unframed.

  4. Completion + Delivery — When the painting is complete, final photos will be shared for approval before shipping or local delivery arrangements are made.
